In order to improve the quality of education, the Vietnamese government requires every primary school to be equipped with a library and a stock of pedagogical materials. However, the lack of funds and books prevents this policy from becoming a reality. Most schools cannot afford to buy books, and libraries often serve as a warehouse to stock furniture. Following a request for support by the provincial educational authorities, Aide et Actions now supports projects including construction of reading rooms, acquisition of books and management.
